A stage II oral tumour measures 2–4 cm across and no cancer cells are present in nearby structures, lymph nodes or distant sites. The oral tumor is larger than 4 cm across and no cancer cells are present in nearby structures, lymph nodes or distant sites is stage III. Stage IV is the tumor has invaded deeper areas and/or tissues. Depending on the stage of Oral Cancer the type of surgery is recommended. Tumor resection is an operation to remove the entire tumor. IMPORTANCE AND SCOPE :
General dentistry is often the first line of defense for the oral health and hygiene of a person. A general dentist looks at the entire mouth and surrounding area to make certain that a person is healthy and that there are no immediate problems. There are many procedures that are involved in general dentistry from simple teeth cleanings up to placing fillings and crowns. If a problem seems to be very serious then it is possible that a general dentist might refer a patient to a specialist that has training in a single area. It is in this way that a general dentist maintains the overall health of the patient.
Many people are familiar with a general dentistry because they often perform the basic dental jobs that must be done every year. The most important thing they can do is to clean the teeth and keep them healthy. Teeth that have been properly cleaned help to prevent more serious problems in the mouth like cavities and gum disease. By performing procedures like a tooth extraction a dentist is able to reverse some types of damage that could potentially develop into an even more serious problem.

Why Germany
The German dental manufacturing industry can look back on a long tradition (since 1916 organised under the roof of the VDDI) and has always been and still is a pioneer when it comes to developing trailblazing products and solutions for both the dental office and the dental laboratory. This is not least a result of its close and fruitful connections to science and research. From its origin up to now, this specialist industry is composed of mainly small and medium-sized businesses with a strong export orientation (facts & figures). The latter is among others reflected in the regular presence at dental trade shows world-wide, often in the form of joint exhibits/German Pavilions
There are four sectors in which the 200 member companies of the Association of German Dental Manufactures - with their products for the dental office and the dental laboratory - would like to continue to act as role model and pioneer: innovation, technology, quality and precision.

Glance at Market of General Dentistry:
Germany’s multibillion euro dental industry has good reason to smile. Per capita, the country spends more on teeth than any other country in Europe apart from Switzerland, which makes it an attractive location for foreign dental industry players. The biggest dental market in Europe is expected to keep expanding due to a growing awareness of preventative and corrective treatment, as well as an increased focus on cosmetic dentistry. Economies of scale and increased industry activity, especially in the lower-price implant segment, cater to an expanding community of price-sensitive patients. Total revenue from dental products among the two hundred members of the German Dental Industry Association (VDDI) rose by 2.9 percent in 2014 to EUR 4.637 billion. Of that amount, EUR 2.895 billion came from exports, which grew 4.7 percent, while domestic revenue was stable at EUR 1.743 billion, a rise of 0.1 percent. Export growth is forecast mainly for Asia and Europe. Dental products represent 17 percent of the entire medical technology sector manufactured in Germany.
